    We went up to the Outer Hebrides a couple of weeks ago with the tin tent, got 24/25 mpg towing and 29/30 solo.:thumb2 Some good long hill climbs were compulsory. :lol Manual gearbox.

    I pulled a Transit van with a caravan attached off our field on Tuesday, didn't need 4 wheel drive either.:thumb2 It was a MK5 rear wheel drive Transit, absolute pants off road!:lol

    That's the one.:thumb2 It's easier if you jack the whole front end up, if you have a trolley jack. Don't do too much at once, do a bit and let it down off the jack and let it settle, (take it for a drive round the block) if you are not happy do it a bit more.:cool:

    I used to drive a Foden with a 180 Gardner engine, the allowed max was 32 tonnes then. :eek: It also had intermittent power steering that always played up while reversing, had to stand up to steer it!:lol I stopped driving artics in about 1998, the job was getting unbearable for me by then.
