Yep, just had the same about a month ago - exhaust bracket loose. Used to happen at 30mph and at idle, bl**dy annoying. Only took me a year to pinpoint it. :banghead :banghead

While we are on the topic of engine oil, my T2 is due a change and I was wondering what you guys think is the best type of oil for the T2 2.7 TDi engine. Mineral, semi synth, or fully synth. Mine is an 01 plate with 60K on it currently running 10W40 semi.

If we can't find a decent one then aftermarket may be the way to go as it sounds as if most of the T2 speakers are on their way out. They are at least 6-7 years old by now and the cone support is likely deteriorating which is why mine fell apart.

Yes it does have a fan in a housing infront of the a/c rad (near side). So should I have a 30A fusable link in the empty space? I have the normal viscous fan behind the rad.
