Old Man Emu Front Shock Absorbers

Nice to have a mate like that. He could certainly make a bit of spare cash by knocking up some proper clutch pedal "top hat" bushes. Would sell like hot cakes on here.

    ignition controled power

The easiest place to pick up an ignition only live is on the plug which goes into the wiper motor located on the top n/s firewall. The connector has 6 pins but only 5 wires. (Pin 1 is not used). Pin 4 (green wire on my T2) is located directly under this spare pin and is the one you want...

    Vibration type noise

    Any update on this?

    Rear cig lighter socket live

On my 2001 model, the one in the dash, the one in the centre console and the one in the boot are all switched and are only live with ACC or IGN on. When the key is off they are all dead.

    Vibration type noise

Mine has always done it, under load, at 1500rpm and below no matter what gear I am in, except 1st. T2 just doesn't like working at low revs. I put it down to the natural resonance point of the body. As you say, raise the revs just a bit, or reduce the loud pedal a bit and it disappears which is...

    side lights

Just received a set of the "bright" LED bulbs - the ones with 38 leds on them. Had intended to fit them to the sidelights as I hate the yellowish colour of the normal bulbs. Problem: they won't fit through the hole in the bottom of the headlight where the bulbholder goes. Can the headlight...

    brake discs

The Milners link above refers to a set I bought last week for my 2001 T2. Fitted perfectly - don't know if Maverick is the same but presume so. Pins are approx 62mm long x 10mm dia. .

    fuel leak i think

Just did mine for the same problem. Easy job - Intercooler off and hoses are push fit. Rubber hoses get hard over time and split. Bought a kit with hoses and blanking plug - about a fiver at local motor factors. Leak fixed - 30 mins tops. No bleeding required. :thumb2 .

Towing Weights Auto v Manual - replating?

Mine's a manual 2001 LWB so not sure if its relevant for you. Its plated at 2580, 5380 which would give 2800 as expected.

    Consult II Cable & ECUTalk

I have a 2001 T2 with a 16 pin connector under the dash. What do I need to be able to read the codes and engine parameters?. :nenau Sorry if I'm hijacking the thread. .

    What dash lights?

I have a similar problem.. Can anyone advise what type of bulbs go in the dash pod and how many bulbs there are. If I can source the bulbs first then I only have to take it apart once. :D .

    Clutch/armrest and cruise control

Never done an accurate measurement but I estimate 35 on a good run, downhill with a following wind. :augie. I tow a lot so not much solo. I got it because my knee seizes up after about 30 mins holding down the go pedal. Cruise works perfectly and couldn't be without it. Got it here - they...

    Clutch/armrest and cruise control

In response to an earlier reply - yes you can retrofit cruise control to a T2. I have a 2001 T2 manual and had cruise fitted about 18 months ago due to a dodgy knee. Just did a 250 mile round trip to the Midlands today and on cruise for 90% of the distance. Makes for an easy life. :thumbs...

    Nissan Consult

I would like to have access to the necessary software to faultfind my T2 if it becomes necesary. (Note: Its running fine at the moment but saying that has no doubt guaranteed problems in the near future.) Looking at the socket under the dash it seems to be a white 16 pin interface socket...

Steering issue - any help appreciated!

Thanks guys, that was my first thought but it must have dried really quickly. Will nip up the belt when it is OK to do so and take another trip through the water. It is crazy wild outside at the moment with the strongest winds I have seen and debris flying everywhere. Think I'll stay in with...

Steering issue - any help appreciated!

Just gone through some easy floodwater (2WD) maybe 100 yds long but not deep only about a foot max. Needed to change direction near the end and found that I seemed to have very little power steering. Exited the water, still very hard to steer but got 20 yds down the road and power steering...

    MAF!

Dont forget to let us know if it works ok. If it does, it would probabely be worth getting one as a spare.

    help diagnosing this one!

I've owned dozens of cars over the years, this is my first T2. Its noisy, thirsty, sounds like a combine harvester when it first starts in the morning and has lots of quirks - but I absolutely love it. :clap

    help diagnosing this one!

From my engineering days, I remember everything has a natural resonance frequency. It won't be exactly the same on each vehicle but will change with the vehicle's individual characteristics. The T2 resonance seems to be in the 1400 - 1800 rpm range. Mine is 1500 rpm. Other vehicles may be 1650...
