the only way i think that you could have a sliding ladder would be a similar idea to your average kitchen drawer( small wheels that slide in a metal runner). or a roller similar to contractor roofracks that have rollers to bget the ladders of the top, but you could have the rollers suspended...

considering the year of your maverick i wouldn't have thought it had a mini fuel filter(refer to workshop downloads) which is a very common problem for poor running. when was your fuel filter last changed? is their air in the fuel system?

more than likely the switch, there not the toughest of switches. had to fix mine not so long ago. one of the tiny connectors inside had moved. they quite often pop up on ebay to.

i supose the idea of them facing forwards is to ram the air in to the air intake system instead of trying to draw air from behind. but simple logic really...........if your going forward in to a dusty environment then you just turn the snorkel to face backwards.

ther are two brackets inside wich the original ford stereo fitted to. i welded my new stereo's cage to these brackets.

i didn't get to see shipston. i ended up being a bit busy with parents house as it got flooded. luckily they were on holday and didn't see the mess. i managed to get it all cleared up and get big dehumidifiers in before they got back.
