    Salisbury Plain meeting

Damn! Can't make it, October is mostly booked up for me. Otherwise I'd be up for showing a few LR's how it's done properly! :lol

That's a point, whereabouts will I find the horn? :nenau Yes I know I need to get a manual, just not got around to it yet :doh

    Horn not working

Tried to use my horn today and was greeted with silence. Looks like I've found a new job for Saturday morning now  Any tips as to where to start looking first please to restore noise?

    towing electrics

So mine should already have one of those wired in? Presumably wouldn't pass the MOT without it if it's a legal requirement?

    towing electrics

Got it. Thanks for the tips, much appreciated :thumbs Not sure if/when I'll ever get around to using it, but it helps to know what I'm doing should the need arise :)

    towing electrics

Seriously? What do I have to... er... rub it with to keep it lubricated? :D And is this in general or just when towing?

    towing electrics

Forgive the dumb question as I have zero knowledge about towbars. I've been reading a few threads in the towing section, but I'm not really any the wiser. How do you know what 'kind' of towbar you have? :nenau I have never ever used one, never looked at one in any detail, never even thought...

Wanted - Air con condenser R20 3.0 Man

You could try partsgateway.co.uk or 1stchoice.co.uk I've used both to look for a radiator. Put in your reg number, it should automatically come back with your particular vehicle, then put in the part you want. Takes minutes and within a very short time you should get suppliers email you with...

3.0 terrano squealy belt when wet

So really, loss of coolant could be quite a number of things  Had a look at lunchtime and coolant level not as bad as I first thought. My fault really since it was hard to see the level properly first thing in the not-so-bright morning (that's my eyes and the level of daylight) :o...

3.0 terrano squealy belt when wet

Dipstick was clean on Saturday when I checked the oil. Filler cap was fine when I picked it up a week ago. Will check that again lunchtime and see. If those are ok, what else could it be?

3.0 terrano squealy belt when wet

Well I checked the header tank again this morning and it was empty, but there was no visible sign of a major leak - i.e. nothing under the car to indicate a puddle of water or anything even like that :nenau Temperature gauge all behaves itself, doesn't move from half way on the dial. Will dig...

3.0 terrano squealy belt when wet

Bloke showed me the part and diagrams and said the tensioner is one unit and he has been given prices around £193, but takes about 5-7 days delivery time. He wasn't 100% sure on the rad leak as he said there was no coolant in the header tank, so might just be a small leak. It's topped up so...

3.0 terrano squealy belt when wet

Update from the garage... they reckon its the tensioner bearing and it's over 200 quid for a replacement part :( They also said the radiator might be leaking, so it needs that too. Have found one from a specialist Nissan breakers for 100 quid incl VAT & delivery, with 6 months guarantee...
