2003 Terrano LWB 3.0 Sport for sale for scrap/spares/repair

Well Smurf has gone to a new home thanks to Mr Fabs. No doubt he'll end up distributed around many homes in many pieces in the not too distant future (Smurf, not cncfabs of course! Lol). Plenty of good, nearly new and new parts as well as some pretty solid body panels, so start getting your...

2003 Terrano LWB 3.0 Sport for sale for scrap/spares/repair

Well young Smurf is now sold to Mr cncfabs who will be taking him away on Saturday. Was totally gutted the other day, now I just feel relief. Looking forward to the next 4x4 now - hubby conceded at me getting rid of Smurf, that was enuff to keep him happy :) lol Budget not massive, but enough...

2003 Terrano LWB 3.0 Sport for sale for scrap/spares/repair

Undecided as yet. Need the cash from this one going, but I'm looking around for a replacement. Won't be a 3.0 Sport that's for sure! :lol

2003 Terrano LWB 3.0 Sport for sale for scrap/spares/repair

It's going. Too disheartened to carry on with it, despite how much I've loved it over the few months I've had it. It would make a great repair project for someone, just not me. Alternatively, stacks of parts and spares for a breaker to make a nice profit :)

2003 Terrano LWB 3.0 Sport for sale for scrap/spares/repair

Blown head gasket and probably cracked head, so a non-runner. Has got a new turbo still under warranty, new radiator, new belt tensioner & belt, new battery. Recon clutch & transfer box, pads all changed, synthetic bushes, ball joints replaced in May for MOT, towbar, NO SIDESTEPS. All electrics...

Replacing head gasket - parts questions

They haven't quoted yet, didn't get there til late last night and they said it wouldn't be today as they're booked solid all morning and closed this afternoon the other garage that I won't be using quoted £600 + VAT for labour. Parts on top included head bolts, gasket set, 7ltrs oil, oil...

Replacing head gasket - parts questions

How's yours been since you had it done? I remember the last time I did it on the Mitsubishi and the truck was just never quite the same again. Ended up (eventually somewhere further down the line after me) having a new engine. I'm toying with scrapping and just spending the money on something...

Replacing head gasket - parts questions

He didn't tell me over the phone where the quote price was from, but the only head bolts I have found for myself on fleabay are not much short of the same price really. Not had chance to ring around any factors yet. I might as well just get new ones then if they stretch. If I'm gonna have to...

Replacing head gasket - parts questions

My Mitsubishi was something like that according to "the book", but in reality it didn't take that long

Replacing head gasket - parts questions

Garage confirmed today what I had suspected - head gasket is knackered - there was no coolant in the system and lots of white smoke when up to temperature. Now, I've "done" a cylinder head replacement (twice) with a friend (that did most of the work!) on my old Misti and I don't recall twice...

My Terrano Commercial Sport! Just Purchased

My last 4x4 was an M-reg Mitsubishi Pajero and even that old thing was comfy and refined compared to my much newer T2. Very noisy and very agricultural, but I still love it :) Nice little Sport you got there. I considered a commercial, but figured it would be even less refined than the one I...

    SouthEast 4x4 Responce

I used to be in South East 4x4 Response when I had Snoopy and was living in Surrey. Wasn't all LR's back then - lots of us in Pajero's/Shoguns :D Will eventually think about joining Hants & Berks when Smurf is a bit more equipped and I have the time to actually dedicate to helping people :o

Does programming the transponder just work the central locking and start the car? Is there additional programming required for the alarm? If so, how do I do that?
