    Have fun with it, Briggie. I'm going to be cleaning my MAF with my busted finger so I will be in the same boat. Don't forget to make sure you clean all the old gasket off carefully with a chisel before putting the new gasket on :)

    With respect, you miss my point re Esso. My point was that it is distinguished this situation from Bisset v Wilkinson, ie that which could be argued to be an opinion rather than a relied upon fact, per Ormrod LJ. Possibly I should have cited Smith v Land and House Property Corporation instead...

    LOL It's the boss' U1700, not mine unfortunately :naughty Been out with it all day doing a 50% reduction on two bloody horrible Lombardy Poplars. Unfortunately, she has to work for a living so doesn't get to play :( You should be able to see pics of it if you google EssexArb :thumbs

    Yep, but need to try your test on it first. Plus, I cleaned mine with carb cleaner so will try it with contact cleaner before buying a new one :)

    Wouldn't a 97 be a TDi and so not have a mini filter? :nenau
