Hi, There's no lift pump but I did fit an electric one at the tank thinking that if there was an air leak somewhere it would at least leak diesel but it made no difference. It is difficult to see the pump numbers but thanks for the offer. Bryn

Oh dear, might not be the problem, the leak I could hear was through the very small hole high pressure side, will test properly tommorow and even if tests good I will fit the new one whisky bottles half new you know. Bryn

Mine has also has a very very small hole in the bolt high pressure side maybe 1 thou I guess incase the valve seases shut.

I recon it is Zexel but dont know, any easy way to tell, I do run Zexel software to read dtc codes. I did spefify on the phone the bolt through the return banjo, time will tell. I do'nt think it would be easy to replace the internals as it seems they are assembled from the nut side and a ball...

Just taken this dreaded valve off and yep I can just about blow through it so clearly not 14 psi. Rang up local Nissan dealer and it should turn up tommorow £2.50 part number 16666AD211, hope it's the correct part as it seems cheap for nissan. He say's he sells one about every 6 months so...

Hi, If one hub is locked and the other not in 2wd the front diff will be operating all the time as if one wheel is spinning and the other isn't, they are not designed to do this for long periods of time. In 4wd you will only have 2wd as has been said but all the bits turn as designed. Bryn

I had a slave cylinder hose blocking with it's own rubber causing a very heavy pedal, didn't find it until after I changed the pressure and driven plate as it was no better after the change. Bryn

When you find a pipe it needs vacuuming down to check for leaks and refilling. It may also need oil as well as refrigerant so go somewhere that understands air con. Check the air con pump engages the clutch at the driving belt before spending money. Bryn

I had a new clutch and pressure plate as a matter of course when the gearbox was off for repair. Driven plate had loads left on it but with the new it didn't judder going down to second, didn't look like there was anything wrong with the old pressure plate either. Bryn

It's bolted from below on the bottom wishbone. Hadn't thought of a different vehicle, sounds like a possibility. Is it possible to glue the rubber to the metal as I have one rubber? Bryn
