    CV boot/Gator change

Thanks for that Tim, only concilation I won't have to remove the cv joint itself, got a cone and gonna slip one over. Before anyone suggests the split type, I've tried them before, don't last long enough.

    2.7tdi 0r 3.0di which is best

My TII 3.0 litre is the business, lots of torque at low revs. My mates Trooper 3.0 lt, can't catch it, his is 157bhp, compare to my 154 bhp The early 3.0 patrols had a problem blowing holes in No3/4 pistons. When I bought my TII 3.0, spoke to experienced Nissan mechanic, never heard of the...

SOAKAWAY FOR RAIN ! anyone got any words of wisdom?

Your correct about minimum 5 mt from your property. I made mine very similar 5 years ago, approx 2m cube. Ran x2 rain water pipes to it, No problems so far, had a lot of water lately here, all surrounding fields are natural lakes at the mo. Just make sure your bottle traps have just an entry for...

Landy owner convicted of manslaughter of kids by defects

Regardless of the dodgey vehicle mods, what wasn't reported was the LR drivers extremely poor driving at the time of the incident. I'm sure he will go to prison, not long maybe. Your right above regarding the media jumping on the dangerous 4x4 angle. Plod/CPS have used the condition of the...

    Discs and pads

Well Guys you must have some pretty poor kwikfits near you. The one in Bridlington, cannot do enough. When my Trooper failed it's MOT (at another garage) for missing exhaust hangers, Kwikfit give some for nothing. They even let me have a rummage in the scrap skip for exhaust bits for my earlier...

    Oil Pressure Guage

As already mentioned in the above post, I fitted it at the low pressure side next to the oil filter. You would really struggle to fit it in the high pressure postion. As it's hard to get to.

    Oil Pressure Guage

I fitted an electronic one from ebay, Not the most accurate, but it did show pressure, when I had the dodgy oil High pressure sensor to prove. I removed the low pressure sensor near the oil filter casing. And fitted the electronic gauge sensor, using swan thread sealant. Worked fine, but when...

    Winch Fitment

I successfully fitted a 4 tonne winch to my Trooper without the need to fit a full winch bumper. I made all the bracket work to the chassis, no problems, I guess I'll just do it again. I have done this job before. But just to add, there will be no corners cut!

    Winch Fitment

Hello I am considering fitting a winch to my Terrano preferably without having to do a complete winch bumper job. Has someone done this on the Terrano. If so, info and pics would be smashing. Thanks Dave

    Fuel petition

I now see that crude is less than half the cost per barrel since it peaked a couple of months ago. I also see that diesel is still artificially high since the price of petrol has dropped. So the goverment gets it large piece of the pie. And the oil companies carry on screwing the uk driver!

    Speedo problems

I've tried to find the ebay seller no joy, I'll keep an eye out for it. Had details of common instrument cluster faults, they sold refurb units and also repair units for a fixed price.
