Cheers rick, I shall give it a go. Only reason I think it's one of the relays is because of the clicking noise it makes as it starts up having been off. Interestingly I can have the ignition all the way to position 2 just before start up at it will work. Once the engine starts sometimes it works...

Ian, it may well do. When the key goes in the blowers will switch on, once the key is moved from position one to ignition sometimes the blowers stop and other times they remain on. Loss conception somewhere in the ignition??? Doesn't explain the clicking noise like a relay.

Makes no difference on 1 or 4 just doesn't work until you hear a click and then its fine.

Right my blower is having issues namely sometimes it works straight away when ignition is turned on and other times it doesn't. After a short period I hear a click and the blowers work. Does that sound like a dry joint in the relay or just poor connections some where??

Is there anything to stop me from using a banjo bolt on the silicone pipe leading from the top of the turbo to the intercooler??? surely this will give me the most accurate reading as to what pressure the turbo is pumping out. Having looked at the Banjo bolt I don't think this would work...

It was meant to say the pipe above the turbo in to the intercooler lol. Have seen a pipe with 6mm off set leg so basically a 3 way silicone pipe. The bottom of the pipe to the top of turbo, the top to the intercooler and the spurred off 6mm leg connected to the boost pipe. Does that make it any...

Anyone got details of the wiring for the Bosch ecu? Need to identify wires for my tunit. I have the 5 plug ecu if that helps.

Whas the size of the intercooler pipe directly above the intercooler? Is that the smaller one or larger diameter one?? Looking at teeing into it for the boost gauge

Haven't got that far yet and didn't really look. I shall have a butchers tomorrow. It appears to be connected via bolts and is silver in colour (sorry pretty crap description)

Right I think I have located it, took the center console apart including the lower tray which u put your glasses etc in and it appears to be above that at an angle. It has a lot of wires going in to it so I'm assuming it's the ECU rather than anything to do with airbags or alarm.

As soon as I have it all going I will let you know :thumb2

Looks like I'm going to be rather busy just trying to locate this bloody thing. I can see why people say that fitting a tunit chip is a 5 minute job but finding the ecu takes all day.

I had a look there and couldn't see anything that remotely resembed the ECU. I shall double check. The tunit leaflet says center console or under carpet drivers side???

Gents, trying to fit my tunit box however the search for the ECU has failed. I have looked underneath the carpet (passenger side) and behind the center console however no ECU. Where the hell is it??? My T2 is a 2001 2.7tdi if it makes any difference. Cheers Dave
