it could be the heat from the turbo with it happening at cruising speed when the turbo will be constantlt engaged charge temp will be high also the inter cooler soaks up a lot of heat from the engine. maybe a front mounted intercooler :nenau

id be tempted to fit a after market temperature sensor and gauge see if it realy is over heating? and i would fit a elecric fan and have it on a switch ive got one on my maverick keeps it nice and cool you could fit one to the intercooler too

can you tell if the noise is coming from the peddle box or the actual clutch? because on one of our old mavericks the bush had gone on the clutch peddle and id ignored it that long it had elongated the hole and made a noise like a cat dying every time the peddle was pressed:augie

i compared the 2 types of surround the new type could be replaced with the old but you would need all the gear stick surrounds and centre plastic or cut the new surround part way down and use the top part of the other type then alter the heater switches:doh i think i`d go down the mdf spray...

i`ll have a look tomorrow see if it can be done might need some mods to the heater switches:nenau ill report back:thumb2
