The 5 terminal electrical plug that fits into it; removed the little rubber gromet that was there (it had split anyway), plugged back in & 'yippee' it revs freely again! Now to sort the leaking coolant...........

Yay! :) Problem was as simple as the connector to the maf sensor! :thumb2 Really hoping a can deal with the little issues on the old girl now and that nothing else materialises to spoil things...... Thanks to all for the help & advice.
