I had a strange noise in mine, but it appeared more kike a rolling noise...bit like a bearing rolling and sometimes a clicking, I did post on this very noise some time ago......anyhow I sorted the noise now. :smile:

Sweety.......I was offered 1200 part ex against another newer Terrano. It seems that you are better driving em into the ground or suffer the indignity of the low price.

There appears to be only two units on the side of the thermostat housing, a small one to-wards the front and a larger one behind, I managed to pull off the smaller one and clean it, then was unable to pull off the larger one [with two wires] but the gauge appeared normal for a few days, then...

I am now assuming that this is the sender unit. My water pump was leaking not too bad but it eventually got slightly worse, I was monitoring the thing then last week, started up in the morning out onto the road and within a very short time the heater gauge was up around 3/4 , I stopped checked...

Please Don't misunderstand what I am saying. It was a bit of horses for courses.......... I am at the moment looking at purchasing another 4x4 vehicle, to date I have tried Terrano, Patrol, Shogun , RANGE ROVER, DISCOVERY, and at the moment the ones that appear to be the best in general...

A bit of an update.....Ist Patrol sold :cry: 2nd one bit of a drive to get to, didn't like the look of it, didn't like the feel of the engine and interior very rough....so turned that one down. May try to see the third over the next few days...but they are obviously like finding hens teeth.

Yes I am looking at three of em today 8O when my wife returns from work. Thanks for the offer of co pilot but we haven't a clue where we will end up by the end of the day......I will keep you all informed. If successful the Terrano will be up for sale. :(
