Yep, removed the rear door trim and opened the locking mechanism manually. Seems to have done the trick, must have been jammed..

No, side doors do but nothing on rear door.

Tried one of the 235/75/R15's on the rear wheel position on the nissan terrano sport, only just fits over the brake drums at the outer side of the wheel and maybe 1" or so space on the inside. Was wondering if maybe the sport model has bigger brake drums than others made at the time and this...

Sounds right (theres nothing leaking from it and its not connected to the brake pipes), what does it do and will it being damaged (close to breaking off at one end where the exhaust has rubbed against it) have caused any problems?

Got it done today, all looks good. Probably a stupid question but if its driving and running smoothly does that mean i've bled the air successfully? I only ask as its a manual pump and I couldnt judge when it got harder to press just did it for a few minutes then it started and ran fine.
