If memory serves me right there is workshop how to in the downloads section, one of the first jobs I did on my Mav, fairly straight forward unless you have siezed or broken parts.
if when you say monitor you mean just the display screen is missing, look to see if was wired with std connections, if so you should easily find a replacement on ebay or the like, it does not have to be the same make, brand just the right fittings.
This was the first repair I had to do to my Maverick, had it for a week then started having gearbox niggles & clutch slip going up hills, thats how I found this forum, I replaced the master at the same time just in case. No problems since then, over 2 years now.

I don't notice any difference, & as it passed the mot brakes must be working fine, although the LSV as I understand it only comes into play when you load the back up ?
