it all started with idle uneven but car run great changed pump idle perfect now got misfire issue which leaves me thinking pump again maybe 3rd time lucky if i buy another

any body ever had iratating misfire wen driving idle perfect no smoke 2.7 tdi zexel fuel pump feels bit like running on 3 cylinders injectors ok maf ok crank sensor ok no mil light on fuel filter replaced air filter replaced no mini filter tdi took pump of gunna give it good clean and blow out...

with my misfire going to put bottom part ov origanal pump and top part ov other pump with the electric bits in and hopefully will run sweet ive heard zexel pumps are crap if this fails flog it buy 1 wiv a bosch pump on slowly running out ov patience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

took pump of did it on bench be pre warned they are very tight make sure u use good quailtiy allen keys

my lumpy tick over was diesel pump fitted new 1 tick over sweet took top of deisel pump caked in black slimey crap

its a strange 1 yes u can boot it just doent go like i think it shouldand has wot feels like a misfire or imblance wen driving .yes my next job is fuel lines as they dont look best but not leaking as i can see if all this fails another injector pump heard springs prone for collapsing in these...

starts 1st flick of key idles spot will rev to 4000 plus just dont seem as smooth and quick as id expect

do not take injectors to bits opps i did give them a good clean out and knock now gone and most ov misfire just snds bit missfire at 2000 rpm but am goin to leave alone till i get chance to have a go in some 1 elses maverick or let them have a go in mine to compare as i might be expecting...

help please maverick seems to have slight missfire as if its running on 3 cylinders and at about 1800 rpms has a knocking noise correct me if im wrong but does this snd like a bad injector has anybody experienced this ??

if its any help mine has a noise from deisel pump intermitatly when engine running i thought it was normal as engine runs ok

i know my old diesel cars i used to put 4 ltr ov cooking oil to 1 ltr ov petrol they ran brill better than deisel smelt bit like a burger/doughnut van but hey who cares im just bit wiery about doing it with my maverick in case it does any damage
