1st time towing wiv the maverick

thinking ov taking caravan to filey for a family holiday never been before so somewere new and it will test the maverick to see how it tows anybody been here and any tips on towing wiv a maverick????????

never towed to Filey, but ive towed with my Maverick. My caravan is only a 750Kg box and so was VERY easy to tow, in fact, the car didnt feel to be towing anything. So my advice would be to take extra care, otherwise you may forget its there!

Most 4x4's should tow upto 2 tonne with ease :thumbs

best advice i can give you is dont go to filey.... theres noting there but old people.. might be diferent if you get on to a big caravan park as im sure they will have facilaties to entertain the kids..

tugging is no problem.. just remember its there... i tug a 1240kg one.. have to slow down some times...

love filey, which site you heading for, as tried most of them!

our fav commerical is the the brigg country park with great
views over ther the bay.

as for route, and i'm near j31 m1, we go m18/62, off at
howden follow bridlington route, then carry on upto to
filey, personally not struck on route via york/a64 as always
seem to suffer delays that way.

steady run, theres only reallly 2 climbs my way over the wolds
near driffield and then out of brid up towards reighton, the latter
has recently gained a bypass to if you've not been that way
recently (reighton gap).

As Zippy says.

It's easy to forget its there and bomb up to a roundabout only to have to slam on at the last second.

Mine's 1600Kg but i think the max is 2800Kg and the towball limit is 120Kg. (iirc).
