    membership

You won't get much for a whippet or a ferret down this way. (except maybe from a member in Kent who seems to collect them :)). It is not that we have more money, just we invest it wisely. Where else could I get this much entertainment for a tenner? :clap:clap

    Heartburn/ acid reflex

I don't think this is a generation gap. Can't say I have ever heard of this either. :nenau I think it is a North / South thing. :naughty

    Planks Books

Not having known him as I am new to this club I have missed the connection. The book you link to is by Frankie Fulwood, is this Chris (plank) under a pen name?

What do you regularly see on the motorways these days?

Here in the far south east of TOWIE country, the HGV's tend to be delivery lorries. The is no manufacturing left in this part of the country. :( The whole area now exists on internet purchasing and the number of lorries from DHL, Yodel, DPD, Royal Mail, Parcelforce, etc. coming into Southend...

    gear oil

That is really showing your age. :augie Car has to be pre 1965 to not have syncromesh, there are not many of those left running. :nenau

    Towing entitlement

That's far too simple for us Brits. :doh How can you keep thousands of staff employed sorting out and issuing licences with something as simple as that. Next thing you will be telling us is that you have a system where you do not have to send in a new photo and pay every 10 years to renew...

    Replacing the Windscreen

An excellent step by step guide, but I wouldn't want to try. Paying the £70 excess and watching someone else do it seems better every day. :D

    Sensitive Alarm

I'm not sure if the Terrano is the same, long time since I had one, but with the Patrol you can narrow it down to either door / bonnet switches or interior sensors by locking it with the key instead of the remote. This sets the door and bonnet switches but leaves the interior motion sensors off...

    Members map

I received it as a pm from Zippy when I was added to it. It is interesting, but I think there are a number of people one it who are no longer members and at least half the current members are not on it. Getting it up to date would be good. :thumb2 I find it useful to have a feel for where...

Welcome to the forum. You will get lots of helpful advice here and as long as you keep your bumpers on, not get too much abuse. :augie

Terrano looks OK with a trailer, 'trol looks better. :D :naughty

    Renewal

Do all memberships run out at the same time, or is it 12 months after you last paid? :nenau Does anyone know where all the £10's go? After paying for the site, is there a club beer fund? :augie :D

    Stuck Domestic Thermostatic Radiator Valves.

It is best with the knob in the fully open position as that is putting no pressure on the valve. As to exactly how to remove the plastic thermostat, I do not know and can not see from the picture. Some have a screw fitting, some a sliding collet and I think some just clip on. All I can suggest...

Spark plug issues - non terrano

If it happens again, get the vacuum cleaner on the job. With a small nozzle you should get it all out. Hopefully you have a "garage" one, if not use the household one, but not while the Mrs is about. :augie

    Nearside front door adjustment

From those pics it seems the whole door is out of alignment. The biggest issue seems to be the lock plate, but the top hinge is also out. What does the fit at the bottom of the door look like? Before you start trying to adjust the hinges, you need to make sure you have strong enough tools as...

Oh god help! @ Mot Station
