I have a problem on my landcruiser, when i press the brake peddle the rear lights go off and on the high brake light comes on when release the peddle the rear lights come back on, could this be an earth problem? I know next to nothing about electrics lol

they certainly don't make things like they used to, it looks like it has some nice etching on the side aswell, this is where they would usually start to discolour or flake

I just joined the land cruiser owners club forum and a lot of the posts are from over a year ago and there doesn't seem to be a lot of new activity, what do you think makes this forum different from other ones that were once very active but are no longer? A lot of people use facebook groups now...

Well after changing the ignition switch it turns out it's the starter :doh :lol :lol

Hazard lights flashed? all i know is when starter has gone before its been like a flat battery, turning but no start, this time there was no turning at all

Today the truck wouldn't start, never even turned over, no hesitation what so ever, first thoughts were the starter motor but about 10 mins later it turned over fine and has been ok since, could this be a sticky starter or is it possibly the ignition switch? can't afford to have the truck off...

Everything Banshee has said but also change the fuel filter, I've had the same issue and changing the fuel filter sorted it, cheap and easy fix

Sounds like he's talking about the clutch pipe we all blank off, i swapped the box for apiece of brake flexi it was same thread and straight swap over, only took a few minutes to do

have you got some old bike brake cable and use it like you would to remove a car windscreen?
