After talking to a few people on the net it seems to be LED's give out a lot of light short range but it's the good old spotlights that give the range so I think you will now have the best of both words:thumbs

If you haven't extended your axles & gearbox breathers for wadding that could also be the reason for a little water in the box. Oil was defiantly ready for a change but i've seen far worse:augie

Undo the filler plug first as they can stick at times if it comes out fine then remove the drain plug & let it drain out then just put the new oil in & add an extra 1/2 litre if you can:thumbs

I'm sure my 1999 had a cable driven speedo & the cables do break down over time causing the flutter of the needle, I know from 2000 on they were all electric driven
