    CPS problems again.

there are two types of sensor, one with a rounded connector, one with square. I did a lot of research into this when mine went wonky and the ONLY place I could get the correct one, was from Nissan at £198. MOst factors supply the wrong one, as you need the correct product code for your year of...

    Another Big Bill

I think its pretty good mate, though im interested in the air con thing as I want to fix mine, but I cant fix it until I know what's wrong with it, I cant find out what's wrong with it, until I have aircon gas and dye in it :/

    Another Big Bill

I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN JIM.. oops.. But as a bill, that's too drastic considering the amount of work done and the particular type of work, but yeah, when you consider the amount of money for a car you may get rid of shortly its a bit demoralising. I vote make your decision this time/MOT and go...

    advice!

good call but I checked that, seems clean. I just cant get in to properly inspect. As far as I can see, it isn't the dipstick bracket - it seems further towards the front and I can see a upward facing bolt like thing, almost like a filler bolt with the square hole in the middle. I will use the...

    advice!

yes I remember...its in the same vicinity but the oil droplets I can see are away from the dipstick - I wish I had a borescope now haha I am going to investigate that one tomorrow because I suspect it'll be a bolt that needs nipping up - found that a LOT on this car.

    advice!

sounds interesting Jim, was that the one attached to the dipstick? I think where I see it its further forward - I have no idea what that particular part is - I need to check a diagram!! I am going to do the water pump and that job at the same time, as well as the prop shaft UJs, may as well.

    advice!

hey guys! looks like I need a new water pump - Jim popped over today and noticed a tiny droplet on the ground, its not leaking much but as we all know its probably time to sort it out. so, I am ok with doing the job, but while I have the front off etc, I figured id resolve a few other minor...

    Slippy Clutch

yeah I have two helicoil kits. used one a number of years ago to repair a V6 aluminium engine in situ - broken engine mount bolts, what a job that was! the other kit I used on my current Terrano to repair the thermostat housing...

    Slippy Clutch

no aftermarket under trays, if your bolts snap, you'll have to either drill out the broken ones or drill new ones... yup, DOT4 brake/clutch fluid. Keep plenty spare as you'll probably lose a fair bit. This is why I used clean containers so I could recycle the top reservoir as I bled the system...

    Slippy Clutch

I think youll find its upwards of 10 cycles or so I think. I used some containers to save the clutch fluid and re used it as it was clean. I did the top first then the bottom eventually the pedal did what it was supposed to! As for the under tray, all the front ones sheered on mine and now I...

don't worry about the bleed process. As Rick and Rustic say (I followed Rustics guide and tweaked it a bit). Very handy having help, but Rustics guide works fine its just a little more moving around haha! When I did mine, it did take a while, so be patient...:thumbs

    video cameras.

The cheap China ones like what I have are just that. For example, I have a newer one I got at xmas. It has the front camera and a rear camera. Quality is good but now for no particular reason the screen has gone reverse, flipped and solarized...!!! Still works, just the screen is useless....I...

for those of you with pets...

wish someone would tell this to the dipstick who lives down my road. He thinks he is some sort of king, strolls along, dogs in tow, no leads. In fact, he such a prick, he actually ran over his dog (because he drives up and down the road with the dogs following, so sure enough one day he run one...
