HELLO ALL. 1998 2.7 TDi I have a problem with repeated loss of key fob codes. Not yet sorted reason / nothing else seems faulty. Both sets of keys lose remote ability occasionally, but both work manually all OK. Both will re-program OK as per workshop instructions. QUESTIONS ?? ...... Q1...

SOLARMANS comment on screened wire replacement is very valid have a look at the connection plug 3 wires right side of engine (facing forwards) towards bulkhead mine went ( 350 mile recovery !! ) could be wire break/ poor signal due to heat / age easy fix TOSKA

Thanks for reply. I have a BOSCH setup shorting CHK and IGN gives codes all OK and cycles through any (multiple) codes again and again all OK there (as long as connection maintained ) breaking connection does not erase codes ....... you can go back & repeat several times if needed I don't...

Clutch Thrust Bearing ?? would be noisy when stationary (engine turning) but probably go when clutch depressed whether in gear or not If squeak occurs when rolling without engine on in neutral then probably a drive shaft or prop shaft GOOD LUCK !! TOSKA

Thanks gents larger dia towards front / smaller dia towards rear I usually take a photo before I start, but ( you might know ) not THIS time thanks TOSKA PS front exhaust pipe will go into place without removing gearbox yoke, but a very tight fit ( much swearing ! )

1998 T2 intercooler 2.7 had to take TRANSFER prop off to replace front exhaust pipe. marked up / took off / did exhaust / cleaned up prop and ...... ............... rubbed all the marks off !! I was VERY tired (and I'm OLD !! ) ... the prop can fit front to back / or / back to front !! ...

My T2 seems to like starters, just fitted another one ! I did mine from above ( not through the arch ) very fiddly & starter will only come out through pipes & etc ONE WAY !!! ( remember this for re fit ! ) used a universal knuckle joint on the ratchet extension arm to get at the top bolt...

Hi all, appy new year etc ! Broke the habit of a lifetime & had new clutch done by a garage. 1998 2.7 Terrano 2 intercooler LWB 190,000 miles All is OK, but they admitted to breaking a "mudflap" on the gearbox ( ?? ! ) which they have now ordered & will fit free of charge once it arrives...

I am in usual problem , as with many members. we 'ain't runnin' 18 year old vehicles 'cos we are eccentric millionaires !! Even the local scrapyards have no Terrano's .... that's when you KNOW you are running an old car !!! TOSKA

I'm not getting "faults cleared " = (code 55 or possibly 44 ) immediate code on Ign is code 34 ( no 1 injector ) all signs point to this injector module failure, but 180 quid on a gamble is problem thanks to all for replies TOSKA

mini filter ?? .. as in small in line fuel filter ?? no, have not got one. have now changed main fuel filter & air filter / still no acceleration / still zero Ohms on No.1 injector / have now removed this for part numbers. pretty sure this is problemo, but 180 smackers is painful if I'm wrong...
