Terrano II 1995 SE vacuum pump

Hi and thanks for replying... Turns out it was the servo leaking like a sieve :-) Fortunately I had a (old) spare one that ain't great but works better than the last. However, the pump is not in great shape either when we vacuum tested it. So I'm looking for a decent condition servo and...

Terrano II 1995 SE vacuum pump

Any idea where I can get one, or parts to refurb if that is possible ? Having checked all the hoses which aren't great, and I will replace but seem to be no major breaks or leakages, I am experiencing loss of pressure/vacuum on the brakes at idle. It was never great but the last few days it...

    The great INSURANCE CON

FYI with the claim I just had on my Terrano where my wife had an unscheduled 4x4 experience (!) the underwriters originally offered 1750 less 500 breakers less excess. Although in Spain, the insurance was actually with Lloyds in the UK and was under English law. They ended up paying me 2000...

    Front suspension click sounds

Hi, i have noticed an increasing number of clicks and pings from the front suspension, particularly when cornering. It's not the steering stops (I know that one !) and it doesn't sound like CV joints either - more like a worn bush on the anti-roll bars or somewhere as the suspension moves up &...

Dodgy breakers - Edward Fear - Direct 4x4 Salvage

Thanks for all the great comments :-) No Fear is another name they use. However, I believe they were evicted from their previous premises Chapter 4 ;-) Funnily enough.... Wife has been on to BreakYard who susoended their account. BY have been pretty helpful, but apparently the first girl...

Dodgy breakers - Edward Fear - Direct 4x4 Salvage

Thanks for the extras suggestions - I will follow those up too. Well, interestingly enough, he hasn't actually got a website for direct4x4salvage.co.uk (which he owns) which means he probably uses the domain just for email. So when I buy direct4x4salvage.com and put up a website, it will get to...

Dodgy breakers - Edward Fear - Direct 4x4 Salvage

Having failed to get a second hand wing for my bashed Terrano (see my post in another forum) my wife decided that she knew best and would try to find one as I was on a trip to the UK and was rushed for time. She went online and decided to try a few sites. I did warn her that there were a lot of...

    The great INSURANCE CON

Yes, they are bastards. No two ways about it. Couple of quick points as I don't have much time.... As a consumer, the first problem is most people rarely read the small print of their contract. Big mistake - 'caveat emptor' let the buyer beware. It's your repsonsibility to check it. However...

Hopefully one of 'em is mine so anyone else, hands off ;-) How come no one seems to have made pattern ones ? Are they different between Terrano/Maverick and between single/double headlamps ?

    Terrano II 95 Bits required.....

Can check the paint code, though not panic stricken about it. Friendly local paint shop...... I live in Spain, but have a UK address as well - I am probably going to try and get a few bits together to ship down. Have a son in Devon who can get a few bits back to Essex for me.
