    front end rot??

If you get underneath, see if it has been undersealed - if not get it done. I don't think mine was ever done, being a commercial - as the body joins underneath were rotted straight across. Major welding job, from behind the rear seats, right up to the boot floor!

    tickover issue?

It shouldn't have, but would have given you the short that was causing your problem! Reconnect properly, and fire her up!:thumbs Just cut and shut the wires, solder them if you can - failing that use some crimps and make sure you insulate well.

Are you telling me you got rid of a narky dog?:lol Ex's can be a pain - I had a real bunny boiler once, took years to get rid of her - In that case, get some cameras and an injunction! If she is entering without your permission, then she can be arrested - get a basic camera system, or even a...

    FT’s Patrol Project

Just wait until tomorrow, clean it up (may need sanding in places, or using a paint thinner) and check for anything! Some may be faint. If there is nothing on either - Then you are good to go!:thumb2 (If you can't find it with the body off, no-one else will with the body on!)

    tickover issue?

That is nothing to worry about, works on the same principle, just a Zirconia Sensor - they produce their own power through heat induction, so only need one earth wire, and the two sensor wires. low circuit should read 0.45v and high 0.50v - if higher or lower than this, that sensor range will be...

    FT’s Patrol Project

You get alot of this with old landrovers, which is why they pay £1400 for a new one, rather than picking up a better used one for £200. Those that do, you often see being offloaded on ebay as 'Lost V5, just apply for another' or as 'Offroad use only' - because they cannot register them! That...

    tickover issue?

A lambda sensor is a dual circuit device. You have Low Range, and High Range. Wires are usually 6 in number, 2 low, 2 high and 2 for power supply/earth. When the vehicle starts and is 'cool' it will use low range circuit - this allows a richer burn, until warm, where the high range circuit...

    Spark Generator Wanted

With caravans 12v systems white is earth, anything else is live...sounds wierd, but makes remembering fairly easy. If you pull the Zig (or similar) unit, you will notice the bottom earth row is all white, the top row are all live. Makes for a quick rewire job, once you know that! Whilst you are...

    FT’s Patrol Project

Talk to VRO before you put any more work into it. - Very Important!! The reason for this is because it is fine to put a NEW chassis on, but ILLEGAL to have a used chassis (they class it as 'ringing') If you talk to them now, at this stage, they may well decide to do an inspection and...

    tickover issue?

Check connections on the low range wire, high range is ok as it runs, low range takes over at idle - may not be connected properly.

    stand alone cctv help please

Erm.....Yes!:doh What you have to remember with cameras, is the kids all wear hoodies anyway! Decent locks and a narky dog help no end - burglars are wimps really!

    New Tin Tent

Not bad at all! If you can, check and reseal the rooflight - that is where most damp will get in - always gone on caravans! We bought one years ago for £200, cured leak, replaced a window, tarted up and got £750 for it.

    t2 Electric fan conversion.

I does pay to check all your cooling system before the summer, especially as they predict (probably incorrectly!) as it being a hot one. Flush the system, new coolant, check stats etc.......and if you go off road in the muddy stuff, Clean the rad! - you would be amazed how many 'farm' cars I...

advice please on rear brake cylinders

I paid over the odds for mine, as I got it at a local factors that was nearby - and it was £18 I think! Delphi brand. Ebay have them from £11, but when I wanted mine I wanted it fast - not that it mattered, as the half shaft bearings decided they liked living where they were....so ended up...
