    Overboost problem, 2005 Patrol

Here some checks for you to carry out after fitting your boost gauge. If you have time, try to read this extract below. It comes from the TDi VW and Audi forum, but it is very relevant to our Patrols that use similar systems. http://www.tdiclub.com/ The main difference is that if you still...

    Overboost problem, 2005 Patrol

Andrew as you are fitting a boost gauge have a read at the link as this will stop the overboosting once and for all once its been set up to what you set max boost to http://www.chaz.yellowfoot.org/Manual%20Boost%20Controller.htm The 2 graphs tell a story to me that Nissan have designed a...

    Fitting a boost gauge - ZD30

You could buy a pod for the gauge and fit it on the pillar I fitted mine in the plastic wood effect under the heated rear window switch, had to do some dismantling and used a holesaw, also had to cut away some plastic behind the wood effect so the gauge would go back far enough. Was going to...

    Fitting a boost gauge - ZD30

hi sorry I missed this. I've got a dual Boost/EGT fitted to mine and the sensor for the boost is electronic. I drilled and tapped the intercooler to take the sensor, 1/8th" NPT thread. Mines is a McNally Gauge from the US I know mines is a 2.8 and they have a dump valve which stops the...

    what s this?

Handbook says the switch is there to speed up heater operation. I always use mine when its cold as higher rpm = higher oil pressure and most diesels sound like a bag of hammers when cold at idle:lol

I would still be fast to slate it:lol if you've got the wrong tyres doesn't matter if you got 12 wheel drive, don't be embarressed, I've owned T2's and they can do anything a defender can and more and I've even pulled a coupe that were stuck to safety:lol I remember a defender driver saying my...

    the GREEN OVAL slate thread.....

Fact is Landrovers are made of chocolate and that includes the much loved Defender, the bodies might last outside the rust zone countries but they are still crap. The British Army now want shot of them:naughty The Japs have forgotten more about 4x4's :lol

    Maf again??

Easy way to check MAF is unplug it:augie If it runs gutless the MAF is working, if no change the MAF has failed:thumbs do the check when the engine is at normal temp not cold. Failed MAF doesn't bring on MIL light on in a T2

HGF confirmed pots 3-4, cracked piston #2

I'd have another Troll in a minute and I will probably get one when the time comes:augie the RD28ETI has its own problems eg cylinderhead cracks, but you get that with loads of engines. I've read loads about bullet proofing the 3.0ltr engines, like blocking the EGR, fitting a catch can and...
