    235/70x16 vs 235/85x16

They will be 31.7" to be precise. And I bet Fez's KL71s are closer to 31" if you reckon that the measurement is looking at sidewall ratios and probably not to the very edge of the very chunky tread pattern? My 31s rub a bit on the wheel arch seam....you can flatten it out with a hammer if your...

    K&N Air Filter question

Agreed - the fundamental problem with the existing airbox is physically restricted airflow, so simply replacing the drum filter in there with a K&N part won't make any difference. The 57i induction kit on the other hand will give you better airflow, a little bit more oomph (don't expect...

almost 1000 litres of new, clean s/f oil, yes and no problems. dirty oil is always a no-no.....filtering removes the obvious shite but its still full of water and contaminants from whatevers been cooked in it. Clean oil is absolutely not a problem and as Plank says, some have run up to 100%...

    Bad/No Road Maintenance

Its a good idea.....I believe the council can squirm out of compensation if a pothole hasn't been reported yet.....isn't there a proper site for that? Not sure its this one?

    fingers crossed

Nice bit of driving, it takes practice to do that well, but being in 4WD helps a lot. Mind you, wouldn't want to have overcooked it on the l/h bend, looked like it dropped off into the woods LOL. Its why you always find me in the local car park when it snows, playing silly buggers..... Cows...

    terrano art

Funnily enough I have ALWAYS been a bit embarrassed about the Terranos looks...theres just something a skinny and a bit gay about it compared to other (allegedly) tough 4x4s.....the reasons I've always stuck with them are (i) the fact you get more for your money all round than anything else in...

    Manual Hubs

Totally not - we already know that they work fine and only break when someone dismantles them and puts them back together badly, or engages 4WD while driving up a mountain at 45 degrees and 70mph..... Manual hubs are for old-school LR owners who thinks its macho to leap out of a warm truck into...
