    Squeaky

I know it well.....I have a place about 8 kms SW of Trie sur Baise (14kms east of Tarbes) with panaromic views of the mountains - Pic du Midi just left of centre, but at the same time its juuuuust beyond the range of the worst of the weather LOL. Are you there 'en permanence'?

    Spin out!!! LSD issues

I'd tend to agree with Pete (gawd help me) and its why I suggested trying the route in low range and see what happens....yes theres more torque being applied effectively, but with the gearing more than doubled, throttle response is much less aggressive and therefore more likely to help prevent...

    Spin out!!! LSD issues

Just weird! Makes no sense at all does it.....tyre dimensions and pressures the same front to rear? 4WD definitely sounds to be working fine. What does it behave like in 2WD then....as you know, they are definitely tail happy if you apply too much throttle but if its less marked than the issue...

Pyrenees eh? Which end? Anywhere near Lannemezan?

    Spin out!!! LSD issues

If I didn't know better (and sadly I don't) I'd say our 4WD wasn't working properly. AFAIK its a 50/50 distribution front and rear in 4WD and while we expect the truck to be tail-happy in 2WD because of torque and the LSD, I'm sure thats not a normal thing to happen in 4WD, certainly never...

    Wheelbearing help

The manual should tell you all you need (plenty links if you search) but FFS don't overtighten the locking ring.....if you strip the thread it means a whole new stub axle. As to calipers, well its a preference thing to some extent....but your life depends on it and I'd be refurbing both sides...

    Wanted speakers & cd player

Not quite true...later OEM stereos are recognised by NATS and don't need a code entering if being refitted to their original vehicle. But they still have the usual 4-digit code that allows them to be fitted elsewhere.:thumb2

    different cranks!

bummer, sorry to hear that. Its usually because a previous owner failed to maintain properly...:(

    different cranks!

But having said that this unit was so widely produced, being used in taxis and all sorts, that I'd be a bit surprised if they changed the fundamental design - bolting on turbos and MAFs etc doesn't impact the basic engineering which needs an expensive re-tooling to accommodate.....I mean why...

    x3 superwinch 4500lbs yeh or nah ??

Surely it just needs a bit of schoolboy physics.....a snatch block will double the capability of the winch. So you just need to find yourself a snatch, then block it. I can do that. :naughty

    Old Timers

Why do you lot think I'm some sort of perv? Its not like I've ever...oh, actually I have :doh, or that I've been seen.....oh dear, I might have been , or that I used a :naughty...well ok I may have, but only once.....ok so it was twice, so what...:nenau I think I'll get me coat....:o

OMG  not more knee-trembling electrical projects of the Ryan variety!! Maybe you could see if you can use your spare Terrano parts to make a Sybian? :naughty

    Transit

But as Zoe recently pointed out, most of the JK participants have no teeth...... I just find it totally cringeworthy watching that jumped-up little tw@t giving stick to people why can barely stand up and chew gum at the same time. Should be banned.

    blaupunkt/nissan radio code

Do you still have cassettes up there then Ryan? Im sure I've got an 8-track somewhere as well if you really want to go retro LOL. Or an OEM Blaupunkt CD/Radio for a tenner plus postage.....no code though but sounds like Fridgeman might help.
