    Tailgate Seal

Already posted this but theres a piss-easy first fix. Unscrew the plastic trim plate that sits on the floor to hold the carpet down and remove it. Then gently pull off the first 3-4 inches of the thick moulding that goes over the metal edge of the door opening (should be colour-matched to the...

    Sump guard

disagree.....some people dont want to fanny about in a scrapper.....and theres only a finite number of the guards around. and a tenner for a wing mirror is a blinding bargain, the seller must have been a wally.

    clutch?? engine light?

Mr Clutch is a franchise as far as I am aware and yes they've had the odd horror story, but they've been around far too long (35 years+) to be that ropey IMHO, guess you just need to find a good 'un....

    heat fix

Bit of a coincidence eh? I can tell you from having owned five of these trucks that it ISN'T normal....only ever had it on this truck and ONLY after the clutch was done, so I suspect something was left off or misaligned....my cubby hole got so hot on a long run I could barely touch it. But...

    Autolock Hubs - I Wonder...

So can someone who's managed to bust their snap rings tell Rick which ones it is, as it would be good to finally understand this thing. Not that I care, having been fixed hubs the last three years, but I hate unanswered questions LOL RICK when you hear which rings have snapped typically (and I...

    speed kills ?

On initial reading its a load of cobbled tosh. The TRRL at Thatcham has shitloads of facts and stats and we all know how long roads are closed for after fatal RTAs, so its a fallacy to say they don't really understand the numbers. The TRRL by the way came out with a figure of around 7% of all...

    heat fix

Yes there will be something wrong. I had a clutch replacement last year on my older (02) truck and although it was a fairly priced reasonable job, after it came back there was very hot air coming in around the gearstick and lower cubby hole area, just like yours. The garage swore it hadn't left...

    Ok , own up

Its actually not that far out. The automatic on standard tyres does an indicated 90mph at 3000rpm, so if he was driving an auto he'd be doing an indicated 120mph (!)....so unless his speedo is seriously shot.... The manual does just under 3800rpm at indicated 90mph so at just under 4000rpm...

    Parcel2Go - a shower of shite.

LMAO no seriously, most couriers list if stuff they dont insure is pretty long! I mean Interlink Express for example wont even carry pornography or human remains....I mean how inconvenient is THAT!:doh

    Autolock Hubs - I Wonder...

Not sure Rick cos I've never dismantled one, but they do break occasionally....they are just a weedy medium spring circlip-type thing essentially. I've done 100s of 000s of miles in T2s, a fair bit off road, and never had a problem with them. If you get time it would be interesting to see what...

    Autolock Hubs - I Wonder...

In that case we are violently agreeing LOL Having said that one of your posts upstaitrs does say you can see how damage can occur during relocking, which imples to me that you think the snap rings ARE involved. I say they aren't. That would be monumentally stupid engineering.

    Parcel2Go - a shower of shite.

Are you kidding? We run two businesses and the list of things they won't insure is bloody endless........

    break pedal gets hard...

Whatever else it might be, its 100% symptomatic of your rear brake shoes having disintegrated on one or both sides. The bits of loose lining then move around inside the drum, sometimes getting trapped and causing excessive braking, other times freeing up and resulting in reduced braking effect...

    Autolock Hubs - I Wonder...

That may be the case but I don't believe for a minute that involves the snap rings......I mean common sense says that would just be plain stupid because they are weeny little pieces of shite and no engineer with even half a brain cell would design such a ridiculous point of failure.....
