    Side Steps Removal

That makes sense, but it's something that has never occurred to me. I will admit to not using my torque wrench as much as I should, after many years of restoring old motorbikes I tend to tighten as much as I can, dependant on the nut or bolt diameter, after all, you don't want a motorbike wheel...

    Rattly Springs under heavy acceleration

Or one has snapped. I had one break a couple of months ago and that rattled, couldn't see the break and it only rattled on acceleration. Found it eventually with a powerful torch, the top two turns had snapped off and wound themselves down but very difficult to see.

    Rattly Springs under heavy acceleration

I've used motorcycle chain lube on quite a few "rattley" bits on mine (sprays on as a liquid, then the carrier/solvent evaporates away leaving a layer of grease). Good stuff and cheaper than spray grease.

    Clutch pedal bush

I bought one of the phosphor bronze ones from Saabits a couple of years ago as a "just in case" - not needed it so far, but |'m pretty sure that only one was needed. If not I'll bow to your superior knowledge!

    Clutch pedal bush

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-Terrano-Ford-Maverick-clutch-pedal-bush-/201366150317?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2ee25b9cad This of interest to anyone? Clutch pedal not returning fully, this could be all you need (dead easy to fit).

    MOT today

Mine failed it's first Spanish MOT on emissions (plus other things), did what Rick suggested, two miles uphill, third gear, repeated three times. Passed on emissions after that.

    Anyone using windows 10

Just come up on mine too, so I've accepted it. Apparently it will download automatically when it's ready, I can choose to use it or not (and it's FREE!)

    So I'm sitting here (SOS)

I had the same problem a couple of years ago, turned out to be the ignition switch. Fiddly but feasible to change, about £32 from Nissan, may be a bit cheaper from Ford. In the short term, try turning the key very slowly, sometimes works, or failing that a bump start.

Tighten of bolts and a clean up

Painted my bash plate yellow - does look rather fetching even if I do say so myself!

Mk1 and Mk2 Terrano/Maverick Rear Bumper Light Guards

I've got these on mine , and judging by the number of times I've had to straighten them as a result of the Spanish style of parking by contact, they have saved me a fortune in replacement rear lights. Thoroughly recommend them.

    scum

The tracking device was probably Prey. I've got it on both my computers. If your pc has a camera, the programme will activate it when the thief turns the computer on as well as pinpointing the address it's being used at - so, you will have a picture and address of the thieving scumbag, and best...

    OMG!

It's .easy to forget the simple things, all bulbs, including the number plate lights and side lights, get someone to stand behind the car while you press the brake pedal to check the brake lights. Make sure there is water in the windscreen washers and the horn is working. (Mine failed it's...

    All legal again!

Because I still live in the UK (Bristol) I have the overheads of a UK car (a Honda Jazz) as well as my T2 which came from the UK 5 years ago (I drove it down). The running costs of the Honda, in which I cover less than 4000 miles per year, are not that different from the Terrano. My insurance...

    All legal again!

Wahoo - ITV (Spanish MOT) passed after retest, tax paid (122 euros, just over £100 for the year) and insurance renewed (293 euros TPF&T). :clap
