    Black Magic Diffs

A friend has one in his VW Polo, it acts like an open diff at low speed and doesn't affect the handling like a tight plate diff. It is quiet and made a huge difference to the traction. If we ever get back into the V8 Manta project that will be getting one for sure.

    Terrano 2.4 petrol starting

Is your ignition coil inside the distributor? My 2.4 is, it threw me at first glance as something looked odd then I realised there are only 4 leads coming out of the cap! I had a starting issue some years back (ironically in the motor factors car park) and never found out what the cause was then...

    Black Magic Diffs

Great video, those display models must have taken hours and hours to make as all the brackets and fixtures were beautifully finished. :thumb2 Jim, just to mess with your head a little more, here's an exploded view of the Quaife ATB! :D

    Insurance renewal

The turbo is still in the Volvo V40 at the moment, I will have to check the spec and see if it will work ok with the 2.4 petrol. The compression ratio should accept more than just a little boost and hopefully increase the mpg when cruising. It will have to wait for my Tax rebate in April though. :(

    Insurance renewal

I went with Modified 4x4 insurance UK 0800 6444406, commuting to work, 5k miles, £100 excess listing shock/springs/tyres and a turbo conversion for £295. :thumb2

    1997 Terrano II 2.4 X-Treme

Well, after 3 months the new job started to become a ball ache so I’m off to pastures new and I need a daily driver so the Terrano is coming back out to play for a while. First job will be insurance, hopefully with a company that allows modifications then an Mot & Tax. It still starts and runs...

    What you got planned then?

I plan to do all the things I planned last year. :) Circumstances have changed and the Terrano is the easiest to Mot out of the transport museum so will be my daily driver for a while. Finances are changing too so once I have one of the other cars on the road the Terrano can get some off road toys.

    Dutch Terrano Project

Not just his eyes but any exposed skin like his face too. I was Tig welding at a company and ended up with a very sore burnt back of the neck and could not understand how. It was arc reflection from the welding screen behind me! :lol

    1997 Terrano II 2.4 X-Treme

A little update...... My Missus has been running the Terrano as her daily commute is a fraction of mine so I have the Vectra diesel weasel. She's lost a bit of confidence in the truck by spinning it 180° on the Billet roundabout, I was hardly surprised knowing how lively it is in the wet on the...

    Rustics Old Maverick

Super clean!:thumb2 The Ford styling, if you squint there's a MkII Fiesta on steroids. :D Doesn't look like it's ever seen grass let alone mud.

How much per mile does yours cost ?

My 2.4 Terrano costs about a gallon a day for work, about 22mpg. Worst I ever had hooning my Interceptor about was 4mpg. Clarkson was spot in about them turning fuel into mainly noise!

How much per mile does yours cost ?

I did a quick calculation on the smoking mess of my Jensen Interceptor after it blew a core plug out, cooked the oil and needed smothering to stop it due to pre ignition; £50 a mile.

    Keeping Terranos alive

My sills look like that and there's no sunroof. I was appalled to find my Opel Manta B had sunroof drains that led into the rear chassis rails and fronts of the sills. They also had water drains running from the inner wings through the front chassis rails, awful design work unless you are...
