All I can say to that is through no fault of ours (just a change of vehicle) they scammed us for £180 for just over two months cover, never to be forgiven, Rick

That'sa serious loss!

For that I would not use them again I assume they would not cover the change of vehicle at a fair cost so it was a polocy cancellation situation..

I went with Modified 4x4 insurance UK 0800 6444406, commuting to work, 5k miles, £100 excess listing shock/springs/tyres and a turbo conversion for £295. :thumb2

Cannot complain about that, be interested to hear more about the turbo add on, Rick

Just to keep you all updated ADRIAN FLUX steer clear of you do not want to be scammed, Rick

Be interested to see if they get in touch with you Rick. I think it's Dan from AF who is a member on here?

The office sent me an Email quoting their terms and conditions, that is all, have not checked the bank yet for the refund, but bet it will be weeks before I get it, Rick

The turbo is still in the Volvo V40 at the moment, I will have to check the spec and see if it will work ok with the 2.4 petrol. The compression ratio should accept more than just a little boost and hopefully increase the mpg when cruising. It will have to wait for my Tax rebate in April though. :(

Well at the end of the day renewed at £330 for the year but on change of vehicle, they could not get any where near that price so cancelled, ended up costing around £180 for just over 2 months cover, total rip off, complained but just referred to terms and conditions, total crap, rip of merchants, got both motors covered for £630 no problem so my advice, stay clear, Rick

Sounds like a rough deal you’ve had mate. Insurance is a license to print money for themselves which ever company. At least you’re a winner in many other ways Rick.

I was with Flux for 4 years with no issues whatsoever.
Had a claim which was handled quickly and professionally.
Never had to cancel or change mid policy but have had the same as you with admin and cancellation fees from other insurers.
READ THE SMALL PRINT,It's always in there but many folks just glance over it without paying it no mind as all we are interested in at renewal is saving a few quid.

There was a previous thread about insurance where Flux were advertising their cheapness. I managed to get a quote that was more expensive than my previously expensive insurance. I now pay around £300 fully comp with Tesco.

i have tried af but seems too dear so never used the.
my ins is due this month so i started to look around and on 3 price site it ranged from 304 and up,the strange thing is the one i am with now sent me a renewal mail with price and its nearly 100 cheaper, also a bit cheaper than last year so supprised at the higher ones for new policey.
the one i am with now is 85 cheaper than a new one why i have no idear.
i went on line to my acc with them and read the gumph and seams ok so i am just letting it renew on auto.what with a pass on mot all be sorted till next year.

all good if your motor is standard.
I'm with KGM modified at the moment.
Fully comp, protetcted no claims and all mods included for £330 per year:thumb2

The worst part about our Flux dealings was when I Emailed them to say I had arranged cover elsewhere and so will they cancel it on the last day of the month, instead they cancelled it on the date of my Email so Mrs was driving for two days unaware she had no insurance, they did not respond to that part of my complaint, Rick
