I last checked my mileage while touring in wales and solo with 4 passengers plus junk, I was getting mid 30s on a 70% (ish) tank of rapseed oil :thumb2

    Extension nozzle for gun

to be fair, i think many manufacturers have got it right now and use less acid, another tips is look if it says safe for sealing aluminum on the label, ans the acidic stuff corrodes that in no time!

    Extension nozzle for gun

off topic, but be careful what you use, some silicon sealers are very acidic and can make corrosion problems much worse! look for 'neutral cure' on the label!:thumb2

    AT Tyres

Thanks, the risk of damage to tyres is ever present and BFG are not immune! And most of us are running cars that don't justify spending £7-800 on a set of tyres! You may drop on a bargain part worn set, particularly for 15 inch rims , but what about repeatability? if you bust one tomorrow what...

    AT Tyres

I have been in the 4x4 owning game for a long, long, time. And I made my choice for Koala's based on experience, so far they are wearing well and (despite the price from the wrong site) are around half price to the BFGs) and there is always the possibility of uneven wear and damaged tyres, so...

    AT Tyres

you can get them for much, much less than that, as I said, try 'tyres direct' and then call and haggle. Mine are the original size for 16 inche wheels, do you want me to go outside and look at the exact size? I think their advertised price for the standard 16 size is under £80 and I am sure I...

    AT Tyres

exactly, slightly different tread (which in my experience has self cleaned better) a good load and speed rating and half the price , even has the same rim protection bead as a BFG:thumbs

    AT Tyres

Duelers were standard, I usually take them off our 4x4s and use then for standing feed buckets in. BFGs were for a long time my AT of choice but I can honestly say they are no better than the Koalas I have now, perhaps slightly worse as the Koalas seem to self clean slightly better. Only...
