LOL, no i do know what a MAF is, i mean to say i dont know what make my MAF is, if its hitachi or not, I know some have 3 wires and some have 5 wires, so I guess each brand has its own connection. will look at it today. thank you for your help on here :-)

how would you know if you had a bosch or zexel diesel pump? had a look round where my pump is, cant see any branding or and numbers. Not sure if it helps, but the terminal connection for it ontop of the engine is rectangular one, looking down the side of the fuel pump, there is a plastic...

you mean bosch fuel pump right? i was menaing my ecu is zexel. can you just change them? like unplug one zexel ecu and plug in a bosch ecu from a 2.7TDi auto and it be happy days?
