Let me guess, you couldn't get all the parts back on so you tried hitting that part with a hammer ? I had several of those after my first terrano, until I was told you need to be very careful not to push the drive shaft in through the hub when refitting the parts.:doh

Don't know about yours but mine bolts on at the bottom of the chassis where the towing eye is. If the chassis are the same you should be ok.
