    I think I need a 12v pump

That's a good idea. I've tried using a funnel, but holding it upright whilst pouring a 20L cubie's more of a work out than my puny muscles are used to. I might get a siphon pump though eventually as I may well have larger containers which I will be emptying. lugging them about would be pretty...

    side lights

I've just got the CREE ones to go in the front, awaiting delivery. My offside lamp had gone, so needed replacments anyway. Looks like the battery will be coming out again to get to them, but think I need to get the banjo bolt out anyway and get rid of the filter I did buy the CREE Headlight...

    Anyone Seen Banshee?

I think there's a fuel issue and the clear hoses would help me find and eliminate it. Haven't heard back from Banshee for a while so not sure he's got my messages. Got a few other issues to sort out, including replacing my front anti-roll bar that snapped a few weeks ago. I have ordered...

    I think I need a 12v pump

So I was running low on fuel today, however I had 40 litres of SVO in the back so decided to pull over and fill up on a quiet country lane. I've drilled out the lid of a cubie and added a Schrader tyre valve on one side and a tank connector and tap to another. I can then plug this into my 12v...

    Anyone Seen Banshee?

Hi, If anyone sees Banshee/Zac can you ask him to let me know he's got my messages about the clear fuel hoses? I'm not sure he's got my PM's and was hoping to have fitting the hoses before heading off camping this coming Thursday. Thanks Brett

    Lights upgrade

Indeed. I think the CREE bulb is probably quite good, but has its own inbuilt reflector and lens. The reflector and lens of the terrano's housing conflicts with this as it's designed so the sideways facing LEDs are reflected by the standard mirror. the central beam would probably be fine if it...

    Lights upgrade

I ordered the headlight and fog light from eBay as linked earlier. The fog lights are pretty good. The Main beam and dip with those CREE ones is dreadful. I haven;t checked how hot they got yet, although they are encased in some aluminium to help dissipate the heat. I think the issue is that...

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

I fitted some clear hose to the fuel limes before and after the fuel filter to see if there was air getting into the fuel which may be causing me issues. unfortunately the hose I have is too think walled and collapsed under vacuum. There are however air bubbles coming into the fuel lines prior...

    Wind Deflectors

I have one, just the one though, on the passenger side. I guess it would be nice to match. cheapest solution would be to rip it off and have neither I guess.

    welders

I used to own a fire safety company. We would often have 2 & 5kg CO2 extinguishers that were due discharge and hydro testing. I used one to pressurise my home brew barrels. These could probably be rigged up to a regulator too. The rebate for a 2kg CO2 is £2.50 and the 5kg is about £5. If you...

    Lights upgrade

Has anyone tried the LED and CREE replacement lamps in teh standard headlights? Like these for fog: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191063440957?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 And these for main beams...

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

Heard another bang today from underneath and a little rattle. I figured the rattle was down to the rear exhaust mounting having failed. Had a look and the nearside front drop link's snapped. Not sure how I managed that, but probably should fix it pretty sharpish too. :D

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

So is this part easy enough to get to and clean out? Do we have photos of it/a workshop page? happy to take poor quality photos of it if we dont. I've got the inspection cover of the tank anyway, so can have a play when I get home.

Oooh, that's a new one, will give that a try when I pop out later

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

Hi, Thanks for the advice. I have already had the Banjo out. Mine's the type with the gauze inside the bolt shaft. I cleaned it and refitted, although I might well get rid altogether when I get round to it. I've also changed the air filter (which was a real mess), changed the oil and filter...

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

I've been having issues with the engine struggling at higher revs. I put some Deisel flush in and it helped a bit. Replacing the fuel filter worked for a time, but it's starting to struggle again. I thought there might be some crud in the tank blocking up the swirl pot. If that's unlikely then...

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

I'll be sure to make a list and send it to them. Looks like the list is growing daily. All four shocks looks pretty knackered, plus I need 2 rear tyres. I have good BFG A/T's on the front so would like to get some part worns to match. LT 235/75/R15's. Will have to keep an eye on the bay of...

Just got a Terrano Salomon 2.7TDi

Screws? no screws here, just held down with a huge amount of silicon sealant. This was beneath a layer of soaking newspaper, which I assume was here to soak up the leaking boot. Will have to find out where it's leaking from. I know that seems a common issue here too. the lack of rusty...

Uh oh, I think this is a bad thing!!!!

There's an under engine cover? Wonder where mine went? The rubber inner wheel liner is already missing, well, sitting in the boot. It was a bit torn up and ended up fouling on the wheel and trying to rip the wing off. At some point I will need to replace this.

    Sniper

I use Auctionsniper, it's web based so provided you can get online you will be able to use it. You need to register your details, including eBay password, which was a bit of a worry. I've not experienced any problems though. You can set an item by the item number, select your maximum bid and how...
