clutch pedal stuck down (im a diy mechanic get me outa here)

Engine running or not won't make a jot of difference. You connected the bleed hose to the master cylinder???? Are you using an easy bleed, pressurised off a tyre or something? You don't pump the pedal when using these you just let the pressure bleed the system when you crack the slave cylinder...

    Zippy and 4x4 response

4x4 response vehicles need to be squeaky clean legal or the police and other services won't use us, so buners are a no no I'm afriad - not to mention highly antisocial.

clutch pedal stuck down (im a diy mechanic get me outa here)

there have been reports of seals getting damaged when bleeding by pushing them past the worn ridge in the cylinder, this may have happened to you. Should still be able to get a pedal but not for long, try bleeding em up again to be on the safe side. If it is the seals damaged that way you'll...

    Zippy and 4x4 response

No reason you can't be involved, your local group Yorks-Lincs 4x4 Response have a member who uses a mobility scooter and he has been very useful. Dinky from here too, he isn't the most mobile of people but has been on a number of callouts. The next local meeting is Wednesday 15th December 2010...

    anti roll bars

Absolutely ARBs are for the passengers and macpherson strut equiped vehicles which need to limit roll in order to control camber changes. Live axles do not suffer from camber changes under roll at all and twin wishbone set ups are fairly tolerant to it if well designed. On some models of car...

    Easy gearbox removal

Interesting - might be worth modding the crossmember so it has a removable centre section to make removing the gearbox easier. I have heard form some mechanics who've domne a lot of T2 clutches that you can just unbolt the rear crossmember and then the torsion bars will flex enough to allow you...

    am i missing top gear

They run away I promise you. Proper technique for decending seriously steep slopes offroad is, 1st in low box and feet off let the car do the work ie don't touch the brakes In an auto the torque converter slips and it runs away from you - I've seen it happen - gets even worse if you fit bigger...

    am i missing top gear

And naf all engine braking going down hill. Later model landies (TD5 onwards) with all the electronic gizmo's get round this problem. Drove a V* one a KIrton the oter week, great power delivery from the V8 but could't get the hang of the auto box lark, and I hate them with a vegence on the...

Which would be better 7" or 8"

I'd go with Yokohama's reckomendation http://www.yokohamatire.com/tires/spec.aspx?tire=GEOLANDAR%20A/T-S Which looks to be 7" or even 6.5" depending precisely which size you want.

    s.v.o. versus m.p.g

I don't do enough miles in the Terrano to matter so I don't really care I just put fuel in when its empty. However I run my work van on Bio and have run it on SVO. My research and what my Bio supplier tels me is that Bio and SVO both have lower specific calorific values than diesel, both by...
