Have a look at where the cables go into the door from the pillar and see if they have chaffed causing a short. My thinking it's more likely inside / around the door as this is probably the only place the wiring could get damp.

To be quite honest there is not much difference between Wynns and sawdust. All Wynns is a chemical form of saw dust, basically it's a thickener additive for the oil and changes/stuffs up the velocity rating of the oil so it doesn't splash as much around the motor, not to good on the cold starts...
