    Stiff Pedals

Possibly master cylinder or low on brake/clutch fluid. Maybe the servo? I'd check fluid level first, though.

My first off road (ish) experience :)

It's nothing special,we've got motorways over here that are rougher than that:lol:lol:lol, that's practically a smooth surface.:doh

    Rugby..........Wales v Ireland

Didn't see the game but I do believe that mistakes can be made but best to just get on with it. Nobody ever complains about poor decisions if there is a large gap in scores, only when things are close. However, I think if people are going to feel bad about poor decisions, it should also be about...

    freedom of speech

Well,I'm Irish but regarding the Irish jokes I'm still waiting to see some good, creative non stereotypical ones. It gets a bit dull when the same tired old Irish jokes keep getting posted. So, let's see some originality then.:D

New additons to the MOT test

The chip thing just needs a small amendment to the RTA to allow it become part of the MOT. The directives usually come first, then the local country laws are amended to fit. Thing to check for is whether the UK have a derogation or a date when the Directive must be implemented by. That will let...

    Queen's visit (no,not the band)

Yes,he does have a reputation for putting his foot in it. Perhaps I can do a bit of name dropping and mention that I know one of the owners of Et Voila, I'm sure she'd be impressed.

    Queen's visit (no,not the band)

Well,I guess Queen Elizabeth was told it's my birthday in May,so she has decided to come over and help me celebrate. Probably have to buy myself a suit now, and keep the dog indoors in case it attacks the corgis. Wonder if she eats Irish Stew and drinks Guinness? If not, she'll have to start...

    Spotted this on Ebay

Not really, but a friend of mine regularly drives for about 3 or 4 months without MOT or tax and then gets the form stamped in local Garda station declaring it was off the road for that period. He avoids paying arrears that way but risks losing the motor if he gets caught driving it without tax...

    Spotted this on Ebay

Think it might be tricky trying to get it tested here with those bumpers. Paul, import duty and vat would be very strong on a motor that looks that good. Cheaper to bring up a baby.LOL Just checked online, our revenue put an Open Market Selling price on this of €2000, plus €730 VRT which would...

Dear Milkman, I've just had a baby, please leave another one. Please leave an extra pint of paralysed milk. Cancel one pint after the day after today. Please don't leave any more milk. All they do is drink it...

    Yorkshire farmer

A Yorkshire farmer went into a jewellers shop in Harrogate. He was constantly chewing. The salesgirl said, "Can I help you Sir?" "Aye" he said, still chewing. "I'd like one 'o them theer rings". "Yes Sir, wedding or engagement?" "Wedding, tha nos", he said, chewing constantly. "Gold or Silver?"...

    Census

So I suppose if I get the Census Enumerator's job,I'll fall out with a lot of the people on here:( On the other hand,I'll have a few quid coming in for 8 weeks which will be nice. Why should they have an option to put Irish as nationality on an UK census form or a work related form...

    Historical/Military research

I was wondering if anybody has used the services of this company http://www.nickintime.wanadoo.co.uk/ in researching Historical/Military records. My brother is trying to organise a family trip to locations in Belgium where my grandfather served between 1916-1918. Have you used or can you...

    wedding venue

Just a brief one on the venues refusing certain groups,am I right in saying the Police can look to have the premises refused a licence if there is a lot of anti social behaviour or trouble from said venue? Not just talking about any specific grouping, I know some pubs/hotels here had Gardai...

    How Many Scottish Members

    Doctor

While on holiday in Spain recently,I saw a sign that read "English speaking Doctor" and I thought, now that's a good idea, why don't we have them in our country?
