    :eek:4 inch box is some serious steel. most of the tracks i drive are narrow and lots of bush rash on the paint, so generally driving slowly. A good majority of the tracks are on the side of hills, so if you roll off the track you're down a hill and into some trees. I am not so sure if i am...

    that's a nice looking job on the tint, truck looks mint too. I am off to buy those deflectors, mine are shocking big ugly things that get ripped off in the tight bush tracks we play on. thanks for sharing. cheers

    i will confess that upon discovering the rot on one of my trucks, i just welded it up then had the trucks seating capacity changed to a two seater....so technically i now drive a V8 sports car with a large boot... build thread coming soon!!! one of my trucks went through the process described...

    Sadly i tend to agree with you, although a good pair of hands, a grinder, a drill should get this kind of repair done over a weekend. Those plates are roughly 125-150 pounds. cheers

    I am sure many of you have been through the rot issue at the wheel arches. The link below is how its legally fixed in NZ, its a bit OTT but makes sense. I hope it can be of some use, i just wanted to give back to an awesome resource being this forum...
