do you follow the likes of Ronny Dahl or Andrew St. Pierre white on youtube?
both those guys are into serious over landing/touring and some of the kit is crazy but very useful for the likes of your planned trip to see the "real" necessities.
cheers
:eek:4 inch box is some serious steel.
most of the tracks i drive are narrow and lots of bush rash on the paint, so generally driving slowly.
A good majority of the tracks are on the side of hills, so if you roll off the track you're down a hill and into some trees.
I am not so sure if i am...
Is there anyone with a roll cage, be it internal or external, that has been in a roll over - curious to know what damage occurred if any.
Having been in a "gentle" roll over in a mates Hilux and nearly rolling mine due to track collapse i thought it time to investigate some safety measures...
that's a nice looking job on the tint, truck looks mint too.
I am off to buy those deflectors, mine are shocking big ugly things that get ripped off in the tight bush tracks we play on. thanks for sharing.
cheers
i will confess that upon discovering the rot on one of my trucks, i just welded it up then had the trucks seating capacity changed to a two seater....so technically i now drive a V8 sports car with a large boot... build thread coming soon!!!
one of my trucks went through the process described...
Sadly i tend to agree with you, although a good pair of hands, a grinder, a drill should get this kind of repair done over a weekend. Those plates are roughly 125-150 pounds.
cheers
I am sure many of you have been through the rot issue at the wheel arches. The link below is how its legally fixed in NZ, its a bit OTT but makes sense.
I hope it can be of some use, i just wanted to give back to an awesome resource being this forum...
Hi George, I would be keen to learn more about this. [email protected]
I also would like to purchase a tuning box if you are prepared to send to NZ at my cost. if that was something we could work out then PM or email me please.
regards
Dave
Hi Rick, it certainly crawls well, the torque is really impressive.
I am under no illusions that having access to this HP and torque will give me issues but it'll be fun none the less.
cheers

I have acquired another T2, not that I need another but this little beauty fell into my lap.....
Some extras included a set of 32" mud's and a 2'' suspension lift.
It also has a 4ltr 1uzfe V8 conversion:eek::eek: Its fully certified and road legal.
Its pretty scary to drive on road, especially...
