Actually you are not tarred with the same brush as the scumbags, that's just utter cobblers. And I never met a bobby who thought people had "Petty" problems except the ones who really did have non Police related problems. Please remember there are people out there that are just attention seekers...
I did 8 years as a bobby both in a rural area and an urban area and I joined to uphold law and fight crime. How naive I was. The stark reality is that most bobbies can't do just what they want as above. I'm not going to go into depth as to the whys and wherefores, there's just too much to write...
Yes of course practically if you are using 8.8 studding in the real world as opposed to college and toolroom theory, it will be ok, but I like having extra insurance and I feel more comfortable with the ability of a shanked bolt and it's extra material to cope better with the likelyhood of shear...
Ok if you're using good stuff. I was assuming you were using crappy allthread type stuff. Btw I used 12.9's in mine. 2 ton of vehicle hitting something moving at even 30mph puts a walloping amount of energy into the body and you can't really use the multiplication of strength calculation since...
I only did a 1inch body lift on mine to save having to alter the bumpers, plus I have a 2inch susp lift and didn't want to change the pipes and hoses just yet. I still had to trim the body slightly around the 4wd lever. Also took the bottom off the fan cowl.
Are all Muslims supposed to be bad people then ? I didn't know that.
I've met some murderers, paedophiles, and downright nasty people in my time. They were all different, ages, sexes and from different places. They were all bad people.
Well most oil pressure sensors come on at a few psi, maybe 4 or 5. Though to be honest I've always believed that's too low but that's another story.
I've read about the oil issues on the 3 litres and I really wouldn't worry about the overfilling you did if it's at the correct level now, though...
Exactly why I have never really rated 6 wheelers, the length and chance of getting stuck especially with 6x4s. This one is 6x6 though so has a better chance.
Some more pics
Here's the site by the way...
Crikey, that's appalling advice for anyone that might have no mechanical knowledge. Driving with the oil light on is a definate no no unless you are certain the light is defective.
Even at idle if you had no oil pressure then you will run the main and big end bearings after a very short time...
Picture what happens if you overfill an engine. The pistons have no space between the oil and the bottom of them so they can force the oil up into the bores, not exactly in themselves hydraulicking but leading to the possibility of running on it's own oil.
I doubt it's done any damage, but have...
Right. As I said, it's years since I worked on a TD27 and I can't even remember what I did.
Just for now, forget the electrical side of things. Lets get fuel into the pump.
You said the filter head primer goes hard when you pump it so it sounds like you're getting fuel to the injector pump at...
Not entirely electrical then by the sounds of it.
You need absolute 100% confirmation of fuel at the injectors.
It's a simple diesel engine. Fuel, air and compression at the right time and it runs. It seems like it must be a combination of problems. It needs to be bled up properly even if you...
To sort this out, you need to take a methodical approach. It's the only real way that you will get there. I've seen so many people jump around a fault like you have done and they either never fix it or take ages.
First, if you can get a wiring schematic.
Check your battery voltage, then follow...
