well my astra van has now done 155k and the last 25 of thast has been on veg oil thats been filtered etc and then they add caustic soda and meths (apparentley). I pay 80p per litre and hand on heart the van loves it and if I put it back on diesel I know the difference and would say its better...

you could always try it by putting a jump lead straight from the neg terminal to the engine

no cant remember it being noisey when it was on my old mav and did fit the transfer box on with it. the noise goes when the clutch is pressed down
