I am running around without the front locking hubs at the moment (hope the snow stays on the hills) whilst waiting for a hub to arrive from a club member who breaks terranos.

Just codgitating after lunch about how the freewheeling hubs work and as one wheel rotates clockwise and the other anticlockwise when driving forwards I wonder whether the are handed off/near.

I have them on the bench in pieces at the moment, hope if they are handed the one I get sent is the right one.
Go and have a play when my lunch has gone down to see if there is any difference apart from one is black and very wobbly.

regards bri

it wont matter as when i 4wd u first drive forwards the auto hubs lock then when u go in reverse they first unlock then relock if going backwards or more than a meter so with that they shouldn't be handed but if they r it wont mater as long as it will fit on the hub:thumbs

Well I did 150 mile trip without the hubs all ok no noise.

The discription Terranobreakershropshire gave about running over a brick was spot on, he has provided me with another hub and washers, I have cleaned greased and fitted the two hubs and all is well.

The terrano lives another day thanks to member Terranobreakershropshire, for advice and parts. regards bri
