All the advice about not treating them as pets reminds me of a friend who got a duck to prepare for xmas. Youve guessed it, xmas dinner came from the butchers and the duck who eventually died from old age was buried alongside the pond in a private ceremony

I personally have no interest in keeping livestock but what I do like is good quality meat. If you get the pigs plank and then get a butcher to process them for you and the food chain is accountable and they taste good ie a "proffesional" set up, I'm sure theres a handsome profit in it

I've left my missus alone for the weekend and shes been out and bought a bloody kune kune boar for £100 - so my two ladies will be getting plenty from now on, but with piglets selling at £70-80, they are allowed!!!
