Back bumper needs attention & needs a new uj on the rear(not urgent & cost me £50 for someone else to change it) :thumb2

So I bought it & have ordered a new reg plate & removed tow bar. will stick it back in on monday, then tax the beggar & i'll be on the move again :clap

all legal now & drives good :thumbs, It is a bit bumpy tho but i'll get used to it, need to sort out aerial cos u canny pick up a radio station properly :doh & the uj on monday, probly tackle some of the rust on the bumper 2moro & source an alarm for it :thumbs

Rusty Bumpers

Nice looking motor looks good value.

The rear bumpers are similar in design to my old r3mR, they rot because they effectively form the lower panel between the rear quarter panel and the lower rear panel.

They have no protection on the inside so eventually with the UK salt they rust through.
To replace them is uneconomic, you could remove them and get them re-chromed & repaired then coat the inside with glass fibre resin & or waxoyl.

Another cheap option is to measure up and pop rivet some aluminium protector on top or glue some rubber over them with Tiger Seal or similar.
