well I got wind of a hilux surf on N (I know its no a nissan :augie) for very little money thought its gotta be a banger :nenau so went to look at it, looks spotless underneath :thumb2, engine bay spotless too :thumb2 has been a very well looked after truck :thumb2

was priced @ £650 without mot so stuck it into mot station nxt door & this guy is mega strict......failed......on.......
Tow Bar electrics & reg plate being wrong dimensions :thumb2:thumb2:D

Back bumper needs attention & needs a new uj on the rear(not urgent & cost me £50 for someone else to change it) :thumb2

So I bought it & have ordered a new reg plate & removed tow bar. will stick it back in on monday, then tax the beggar & i'll be on the move again :clap







 
How much will it cost to drive to Wolverhampton in it :augie ;)
 
all legal now & drives good :thumbs, It is a bit bumpy tho but i'll get used to it, need to sort out aerial cos u canny pick up a radio station properly :doh & the uj on monday, probly tackle some of the rust on the bumper 2moro & source an alarm for it :thumbs
 
Looks ok for the money. What was wrong with the towbar?

just the tow bar electric weren't wired up, so removed electrics & towball to get mot ticket :thumb2

No briggie wasn't the surf that ryan's mate has, this one was closer :thumb2
 
Get your self a DAB, £140 all in at halfrauds:thumb2

How good are the DABs in cars? I have heard they are not that good especially in more rural areas:nenau:nenau

Also not all radio stations are broadcast in digital.
 
Rusty Bumpers

Nice looking motor looks good value.

The rear bumpers are similar in design to my old r3mR, they rot because they effectively form the lower panel between the rear quarter panel and the lower rear panel.

They have no protection on the inside so eventually with the UK salt they rust through.
To replace them is uneconomic, you could remove them and get them re-chromed & repaired then coat the inside with glass fibre resin & or waxoyl.

Another cheap option is to measure up and pop rivet some aluminium protector on top or glue some rubber over them with Tiger Seal or similar.

Well we gonna have 2 now cos mr stick his thumb through it :doh
aerial receiver & cable is knackered & all one unit so need a whole new one :doh
seems good on fuel too cos stuck, put £25 (17.something ltr)of diesel in it on saturday & so far done 141 mile & is now sitting where it was when i put fuel in on sat :thumb2
so far so good
