I find Diesel is cheaper in France, than in the UK.
I find Diesel is cheaper in France, than in the UK.
Last time we were there, petrol was dearer in France than UK
Not sure now though, and at the time diesel was cheaper in France.
In fact we spoke to a guy on the ferry, who lived near Dover and he was retired and got a cheap day return on either the ferry or euro tunnel, which ever was the cheapest at the time, filled up with diesel in France and was quids in, a free day out lol. Add to that a few local cheeses and quosoints and the odd bottle of wine... sorted.
He did this every month, where possible.:thumb2

diesel is about a £1 a gallon in france at the moment
the exchange rate for pound to euro is 1.20 euro`s to the pound
been watching the exchange rate for a couple of weeks now
debenhams travel and co-op travel have some good rates, you can order online but will probably need some ID when collecting ( passport, driving license etc)

Fuel around here is around 1.32eu/ltr. The further north you go the cheaper it seems to get!
In St Pol de Leon near the ferry port in Roscoff, Brittany the SuperU was well under 1.30Eu/ltr....1.26eu I think a few weeks ago.
Post Office do Euro exchange at the going rate with no commission over the counter.

The French love food and see the use of food based oils being used in a vehicle as a total abomination, anyone caught using veg oil will be horse whipped, then tar and feathered.....if your lucky
Old ladies will curse and spit at you and young children are encouraged to kick your shins.
Be warned :augie

Hi ,Sorry mate havent had chance to to get on as I have been in the garden all week as it has got well and truly over grown while i was away. I think your question has been well answered by now. Gasoil (Derv) Is 1.295 at our E,leclerc at the moment the best you could get veg oil for is about 10€ for 10ltr at the cash and carry but it cost you 10€ in fuel to get there as its a hour trip there and back so not viable.
I change my euros at thomas cook if I am in the UK there rate is some times better than the post office. John

I remember back in the day, washing liquid was used on most sites in the muck mix.
I wonder who found out, that using WL, would make the muck nicer to use

Yeah, very true Rick, mind you, washing up liquid is full of salt.
