True but there's not a huge amount that could go wrong with them.

Electric motors, gears, going from forward to reverse straight away...

I broke a lathe once doing that, the guy said that due to the interlock, engaging reverse whilst moving forward would not do anything...
He was partially right, after the motor exploded the lathe certainly didn't do anything...:doh
:lol:lol:lol

I think the interlock had failed...:augie

now 4 of them on the roof bar, all connected to the steering, so they pointed the same direction as the wheels.. that would be smart....

Dont say you can get it cheaper then not provide the proof. There may be similar cheaper priced and cheaper quality. But thats the same with anything in life.

I'm not, I'm saying you can get cheaper versions that do pretty much the same thing

Also you could have an electronic inclinometer, so when going up and down hills they adjust up and down for the terrain.

That would be " brilliant" also you could have a light sensor on your windscreen, then if some body was on full beam, the lights would automatically lock on to their car and... But might be slightly illegal though. :augie

Problem with any of this though, for greatest accuracy, you would need feed back from potentiometers or similar, giving the current position of the light in the two dimensions. Unless stepper motors were used, like in your printer.

If you don't, your lights would soon become cross eyed...:doh

:clap:clap:clap Perfect...

Actually, I like the idea of it becoming cross eyed... then you would need to press "Ctrl Alt Del" to get it all back on track..:lol
