Further to the walk in freezer, the repair only lasted a day, new capacitors fried, so motor is the real culprit, new one fitted yesterday, vac'd it down and recharged it with 1.1Kg 404, called in today as a follow up and got the thumbs up from the staff, seems it is a lot quieter than the old one, I will be cutting the top off of the compressor removed to find out why it failed, Rick

There Rick! That's why you are a fountain of knowledge. Most folk would just bin the old one and move on. You are operating on the old one to find out why it failed.

Pic not very clear but winding ties have melted/broke, so it has got hot but why, the windings show no sign of short?

Cannot yet explain the copper sludge in the bottom, definitely not copper from pipe cutting, but how else?
