Hi all need to strip my zezel fuel injection pump down. Does any one know how far i can go without disturbing settings. Don't really want to take pump off car just yet. The zezel is fitted to 1997 Maverick 2.7gls tdi (flybywire) set up. Any advice appreciated.

Zexels were on the early Maverick Tdi . I've got one but not stripped

Don't worry, someone with the information will come along soon to help you.David.

personally i wouldn't even touch the pump, its very unlikely to be the cause . your more likely to do more harm than good.

if you want my view,
1/ drag it up the road and bump start it

2/ jump it direct off another truck , but leave it charging for an hour before you try starting . use easy start too . these trucks dont respond well to jump starting so you need the grounds direct to engine and not battery for best chance

if that fails
rig up a fuel supply gravity fed direct to the pump. like an intravenous drip set up or sumink.

that will eliminate any fuel supply issues.

my vote is the throttle assembly , push the accelerator up and down for 10 mins to clean the connections that has usually been the problems ive experienced with these trucks not starting .

but failing that sell it to me :augie
