Just passed this today and quite interested.
Terrano II sport. 3.0 manual.
144 at last mot and has 3 months left.
What to look for and how long will it last.
I know it's not the Troll but it will do double the mpg when thrashed..
Get your own style!!!! :jerkit: :lol
You laugh but I'm only 1 tyre size away now!!!!!!Will my 37s fit if I trim the arches???
Runs and hides laughing.....
Where is it and how much is it, I’ll buy it to save you from yourself :lol
MOT history was mainly suspension the last few years.
Advisory brake pipe and an oil leak for the past few years.
The chassis rails looked ok at a cursory glance.
Did these get a diff lock at any point as I would miss that.
Might go for a test drive tomorrow evening:nenau

I bought an E300TD Merc for the engine just over 2 years ago as a diner for my Troll but will probs never do the swap. But might put the Merc vIf its reasonably sound on the bodywork might be worth a punt.
I paid £1000 including 6 months VEL for our old Mercedes 300TE 4-Matic drove to a Bomb Site Car Lot called "Star Cars" (think Arthur Daly) in Bolton Portacabin Office with gravel forecourt back in 2006 found it on the internet.
It had no service history (all book pack was missing) with 100k on the clock, when I got the V5 it was 1 private owner from new plus the trader who I bought it from who taxed it as a run about. Original owner was a GP in Scotland who had it serviced by MB dealer for the first 10 years of its life then a MB specialist. I traced the service history from the spare Key Fob that had a dealer name on it - they were really helpful when I rang them up.
The GP had spent almost £600 a year on servicing for the last 3 years and decided enough was enough. All parts were genuine MB including a recent radiator! Was one of the cheapest used cars I have ever owned. After 3 years and 30k miles the self levelling rear suspension failed so I cut my losses and sold her to the trade recouping almost £400 in selling the vehicle plus some unusual extras that I removed.
Often wondered if I should have fixed the suspension and run her for a few more years.
